DESCRIPTION:Gioia dell’Amore is hosting a Christmas Open House on Sunday\, December 17th. We will have Real Jazz 3 piece band playing live in the tasting room from 3 to 5. One will hear and feel the heart\, soul and essence of the great American art form that brings all people together. One will know what to expect\, yet expect the unexpected. What a perfect way to kick off the holiday with a warm heart. \n\n\n\nAdditionally\, we will be offering complimentary holiday treats to all of our Amore family. We will also be featuring a $5 drink special “Glowing Kisses”. This is a fun mimosa made from our holiday wine\, Glowing Ember\, and our first sparkling wine\, First Kiss. I have been concocting them on a test basis and have to say they are pretty darn good – giggle! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe hope you will come out and have a cup of cheer with us in celebration of Christmas. Thank you for all of your support over the last 2 years\, we are truly blessed to be a part of this community! \n\n\n\nReal Jazz\, originated in 2009 and led by drummer\, Bruce Mallatratt\, has become a fixture in North Carolina’s Triad area jazz scene while helping to keep true jazz alive. This group’s blend of traditional straight-ahead jazz\, Latin jazz\, funk and fusion sets it apart. The rich and captivating approach that is taken is accomplished by varying the tempos\, genres\, accompaniment during solos\, the number of musicians playing at any given time\, and the order of soloists a local singer and songwriter from Sandy Ridge\, North Carolina. \n\n\n\nGioia dell’Amore Cellars is a 96-acre vineyard\, winery\, wedding venue\, and cabin rental facility nestled in the rolling hills of Rockingham County among the vines of Autumn Creek Vineyards. This exclusive wine pairing dinner will feature our wines expertly paired with creative courses from Pepper Moon Catering. Most importantly\, this is a fund raiser for the local Toy’s for Tots chapter and a portion of each ticket will be donated. The cost is $67 per person and includes 5 courses of food paired with 2-ounce pours of wine. Seating is limited and tickets will be on sale until October 27th or until sold out. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis 5 course wine pairing dinner will feature:\n\n\n\n\nFlirt (our reserve traditional method sparkling wine). Specifically paired with a brie\, bacon and blackberry grilled cheese.\n\n\n\nFirst Blush (our all estate grown rose blend of Chambourcin and Merlot). Paired with an orzo salad course.\n\n\n\n2021 Riesling (off-dry wine with great minerality and notes of pear and dried apricot). Paired with baked fish and a vegetable.\n\n\n\nCabernet Sauvignon (dry red with black current and blackberry notes). Accordingly paired with braised beef short rib with a seasonal demi glaze and vegetable risotto.\n\n\n\nGlowing Ember (sweet red spiced holiday wine). Paired with a glorious fall dessert.\n\n\n\n\nAdditionally\, the Chef will be incorporating our wines in some of the sauces used to prepare the meal. Presently the menu is being refined and final descriptions of each course will be shared with attendees closer to the event. \n\n\n\nAn evening with meaning\n\n\n\nThis event is a fundraiser for the Rockingham County Chapter of Toys for Tots. A portion of each ticket will be going to this great charity to support our local community. Concurrently\, we will have a raffle for a 2-night weekday cabin stay at Gioia dell’Amore Cellars. They will be here both Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Their menu includes cleverly named “worldly” wraps such as “Jamaican me Hot!”\, “Lei the Hawaiian” and “Chicken and Pigs on the Ranch”. They also have flavored hummus in garlic\, beet\, avocado and buffalo. Preview their full menu! \n\n\n\nWe will be pouring up our tasty vino\, wine slushies and sharing local beers including Red Oak Amber and Hummingbird\, Pernicious IPA and Foothills Jade IPA along with the usual suspects Michelob Ultra\, Bud Lite and Miller Lite. \n\n\n\nJosh Hudson is a local singer and songwriter from Sandy Ridge\, North Carolina. Hudson has built something of a songwriting dynasty. Not only did he win the 2023 Don Gibson Singer/Songwriter Award\, the Cleveland County native also took home the top prize in 2020 and 2021. The year in between\, 2022\, Hudson finished in second place. After so much success\, what keeps Hudson coming back for more? This will be something new and fun to try!  \n\n\n\nWe will also be pairing the live music and food with our wine and beer selections\, and we will have the wine slushy machine up and going for the afternoon. \n\n\n\nEthio-Indi Food Truck: Is a local business is based on the principles of healthy\, sustainable\, and plant-based food options. Based upon comments from their customers\, we can’t wait to try the food! Comments such as\, “I almost ate my fingers off”\, “The burger was delicious”\, and “Who knew vegan food could be so good”. Owner\, Tonga Ramseur\, serves an all plant-based menu influenced by her Indian and Ethiopian roots. Her menu includes burgers\, chill “e” dogs\, a steak and gravy platter\, fried okra and more. We will be welcoming for the first time Russell Lapinski\, local acoustic guitarist\, at 2:00 pm on Saturday. Russell plays an amazing variety of music including Beatles\, R&B and oldies.  \n\n\n\nIn celebration of our anniversary\, we are also kicking off our wine club\, “That’s Amore!” We will have sign up available in tasting room and are excited to welcome members to the Amore family! \n\n\n\nWe know there has been a learning curve with the pronunciation of our Italian name\, Gioia dell’Amore Cellars. The name is The Joy of Love in Italian\, and so many of you have worked to get that first word down (pronounced “Joy-A”). Of course we always say\, just call us the Amore winery and we are great with that! We also LOVE the Autumn Creek name and the vineyard property will always carry this name. We only augmented the name because of our story and the fact that Laura’s late sister was involved in creating the name\, and the logo. \n\n\n\nThank you to everyone who has supported\, coached\, comforted and loved on us these past 2 years. We have learned so much\, and of course still have so much growth in our future. Known for it’s authentic Puerto Rican Delights it has a 5-star rating from its customers on FaceBook. Enjoy hearty meats paired with plantains and empanadillas. \n\n\n\nAs described in a Journal Now article\, Arturo Vega started Agueybano El Bravo in 2021 as a part-time food truck. Agueybana is doing steady business pretty much every weekend. Though Vega is the owner\, Agueybano is very much a family affair. “This is a family business. My wife and daughters all help out\,” Vega said. His wife\, Alia Andujar\, does much of the advance prep work. She gets help from daughters Yari Rodriguez\, 18; Leila Vega\, 15; and Kayla Vega\, 14. All of them also help out on the truck itself while it is out and about on weekends. \n\n\n\nWe will be serving up the wine and beer to compliment the lively tunes and food! DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun afternoon in the tasting room! We will have our Builder Babes woodworking class where we will be crafting rustic lanterns in the Barrel Room from 1:30 to 3:30! Crowd favorite\, Nick Branscome\, will be filling the tasting room with live music\, and Salsarita’s will be serving up Tex-Mex on the porch of the tasting room! \n \nNick will crank up the live music at 1:00 and will be playing until 4:00. He is a crowd favorite at the vineyard and we are excited to have him back out to Gioia dell’Amore on June 24th. Check out his sound and expect to be inspired to do a little dancing in the tasting room! \nFrom 1:30 to 3:30 we will be hosting the Builder Babes woodworking workshop downstairs in the Barrel Room. Mel and Keith will lead us through building the lovely rustic lanterns as seen in the flyer above. The class is $45 and includes all materials and instruction to build two lanterns\, space is limited. Please register directly with the artist. \nSalsarita’s food truck will be serving up amazing Tex-Mex from noon until 5:00. And of course\, we will be pairing all the fun with our wines\, beers and slushies from the tasting room! \nWe are looking forward to a fun day of live music\, food and art!

Gioia dell’Amore is honored to host The Almost Irish Band (TIAB) on Saturday\, June 17th from 2:00 to 5:00. Gianno’s Wood Fired Pizza Truck will be here serving up fresh made to order Pizza from noon until 5:00.\n\nThe band mixes in some old time music\, some folk\, and occasionally even a sea shanty\, a bluegrass number\, or an original song.  The group also does a lot of “oldies\,” which in this case means things like music from The Beatles\, Simon & Garfunkel\, The Everly Brothers\, and many other artists that were enjoyed in the 50s\, 60\, and 70s.\n\nIf you have never had Pizza from Gianno’s you haven’t lived! Watch as they create mouth-watering pies with traditional and creative toppings like homemade Italian sausage and fig preserves. Gianno’s pizzas are cooked at 800 degrees for just 90 seconds\, resulting in a crispy crust and perfectly melted cheese. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy fine art at the Winery \n  \nGioia dell’Amore will be hosting an Art Exhibition the weekend of June 2-4\, 2023. We will have artists in the backroom off of the Tasting Room including Robert Chrest Fine Art and Root and Rust Woodworkers. The display will be available all weekend during normal winery hours\, 1:00 to 6:00 on Friday and Sunday\, and 11:00 to 6:00 on Saturday. \nRobert Chrest is a self-taught acrylic artist who has been painting since high school.  Some of his paintings have been displayed in galleries in Napa\, CA and Leapers Fork\, TN and in multiple art shows and events.  Since retirement\, his love for acrylic painting has made him much more patient and allowed him to put more detail into each creation.  Robert enjoys the challenge of the subjects he chooses and to make them as life like as possible.  He paints what moves him and what he wants to share with the world. \nRoot and Rust is a Vet owned woodworking husband and wife team\, Keith and Melanie Wilson. They pride themselves on supporting other vets as they create handmade home decor\, accessories and jewelry. Many of you will recognize their name as they put on woodworking classes at the vineyard so our customers can build their own creations such as blanket ladders\, rustic lanterns\, and planters. \nCome out and enjoy a glass of wine while shopping and meet the artists in person!

We will also be holding a silent auction and all profits from the event will support the Barry Joyce Local Cancer Support Fund. \nThe show will be performed by Hula Carolina who brings the idyllic Hawaiian islands to you\, giving you the experience of a lifetime. The intense Fire Show\, exquisite Hula Dancers and lively Luau Party will demonstrate Hula Carolina’s deep gratitude for the Hawaiian culture as they strive to pass the traditions on by way of song and dance. See what to expect that evening by watching this video on our home page. During the shows we invite you to learn a hula\, spin the poi balls of New Zealand and dance to the live drums of Tahiti. You will love moving around with the Hula Dancers. It is something quite fun for everyone to let loose and try! \nThe $85 ticket (early bird rate of $75 each by March 31st) includes the lei greeting\, two drinks\, dinner\, both shows\, the silent auction and most importantly supports a wonderful cause! The Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Support Fund is local people helping local people. Unfortunately\, Julie lost her battle with ovarian cancer before the dream could be realized.
